Карин Макка – дочь вампиров, сестра вампиров и сама вампир. Но в семье не без урода, и этим уродом является, увы, именно Карин. Во-первых, она любит дневной свет, плохо ориентируется в потемках и с удовольствием ходит в школу. Во-вторых, она не умеет наводить чары на укушенных и заставлять их забывать, что они стали жертвами вампирши. В-третьих (и это самое неудобное!), бедняжка Карин не столько употребляет, сколько вырабатывает кровь: она – вампир-производитель! Стоит ей хорошенько разволноваться, увидев потенциальную жертву (или привлекательного молодого человека), как кровь у нее начинает идти носом…
